Priory Hospital Woodbourne, located in a peaceful and picturesque suburb of South West Birmingham, provides expert treatment for a range of addictions, including alcohol, drugs and support for behavioural addictions.

Our specialist addiction facility, The Manor Ward, is where our team deliver exceptional levels of treatment and care to our patients. We pride ourselves on placing you at the heart of your recovery journey, helping you to achieve the best possible outcomes. All treatment is tailored to your individual needs and structured within National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

The Opportunity:
We invite an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team, offering the chance to build and manage a private practice offering both inpatient support and outpatient* function. This role is integral to maintaining our high standards of care and providing expert guidance to our dedicated staff.

Role Responsibilities:
- Complete 2-3 short ward rounds per week to support your inpatients
- Assess and treat a diverse outpatient population.
- Oversee the care of inpatients within your specialty.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists.
- Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
- Expand your practice in alignment with Priory's prestigious reputation.
- Participation in on-call rotations.
- Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
- Market yourself and your practice in conjunction with Priory, registering with private medical insurers and providing information for our website.
- Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:
- GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
- Experience in addiction /substance misuse.
- A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by Priory Hospital Woodbourne.
