HCA | Theatres | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | Permanent | Southend-On-Sea | Salary DOE

Spire Wellesley Hospital are looking for a HCA to join our fantastic Theatre team. You will work a mix of shifts covering 7.30am - 8.30pm Monday to Friday with Saturday shifts when required

Spire Wellesley Hospital has 3 Theatres (2 laminar flow) and an endoscopy unit, a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology, ENT.

Duties and responsibilities

Working as part of our theatre team you will be providing a caring support service to our patients. This will include assisting the Nurses during procedures, transporting patients to and from the ward and opening sterile packs. You will ensure instruments are prepared and ready before procedures and assist with the cleanliness and maintenance of the theatres.

Who we're looking for

• You will need to have experience in a Care role within a hospital
• Ideally you will have NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care
• Someone who excels in customer service and has a caring demeanour
• Experience working in Theatres would be a benefit but not a necessity
