Job - Hybrid Theatre Superintendent Radiographer
Location - The Portland Hospital, London
Contract Type - Permanent, full time hours 37.5hrs (shifts will be on a rota basis ranging from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, there will be a requirement to work on-calls and weekends which will be paid in additional to your base salary)
Salary Range- Competitive dependent upon skills and experience. This role is equivalent to a band 7 in the NHS.

Job Description
The Portland Hospital has built a new state of the art Hybrid Theatre. This Biplane imaging system will allow for advanced Interventional radiology, cardiac catheter procedures and also image guided surgical procedures. This is a once in a life time opportunity to join this progressive team.

• As the Hybrid Theatre Superintendent you will work effectively managing a multi-disciplinary team in the cardiac catheter laboratories, the Interventional Radiology suite and CT imaging.
• Provide a professional standard of excellence in interventional services for all patients with particular interest in Paediatric imaging
• Work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all intervention imaging and patient pathways
• Manage the finances and staffing to ensure department is kept within budget and associated KPI's
• Coordinate weekly lists under General Anaesthetic. This is a multidisciplinary team for which you would be the lead

Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong IR/Cath Lab experience
• Experience in CT Imaging
• Paediatric experience is desirable
• Previous experience of managing or leading a department is desirable
• Experience in Cardiac CT is desirable
• Be familiar with PACS and RIS software system
• Be familiar with undertaking audits
• Have initiative and provide high level of customer care
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HCA policies & professional Code of Conduct
• Work as a team player, ensuring cover is provided at all times across all modalities, maximising clinical efficiency
• Training Staff as required
• Creating rotas and managing staffing
• General Administration for the Hybrid Theatre and imaging department as required
• Participate in an on-call rota and flexible shift pattern
• To deputise for the Imaging Manager as required

Skills & Experience

• HCPC registered
• BSc(Hons) Diagnostic Radiography
• Knowledge of processes and procedures in cardiac catheter laboratories procedures, IR Procedures and also some experience in CT.
• Extended post-graduate experience
• Experience in both adult and paediatric imaging (we are happy to provide training to Radiographers who do not have experience in paediatric imaging)
