Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- RSA 3 or equivalent experience.
Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of MS Word/Excel. Experience of using the internet, electronic diaries and email. Previous secretarial/administrative experience. Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception role.
- Previous experience of working in the NHS. Experience of call handling.
Essential criteria
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection. Understanding of customer service.
- Knowledge of the Trust including awareness of the Trust's priorities. Knowledge of Trust information systems. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Essential criteria
- Accurate key board skills and ability to use a range of Microsoft Office applications relevant to the post. Accurate proof reading skills for documents prepared by clinicians who use voice-activated software. Methodical, with ability to pay attention to detail and to produce work quickly to a high standard of presentation, with a high level of grammatical and spelling accuracy. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and including telephone, email and face-to-face. Ability to follow processes and procedures. High level of ability to organise and manage own time keeping to schedule and deadlines. Good organisational skills. Ability to prioritise and to meet deadlines. Willing to take on/learn new skills. Ability to show attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt to change in the work situation. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to store and safeguard confidential documents.
