Location - The Wellington Hospital, London
Contract Type - Permanent, part time at 37.5 hours per week
Salary Range -Competitive dependent upon skills and experience. This position is equivalent to a NHS band 7

Job Description
As a Senior 1 Physiotherapist at the Wellington Hospital you will carry out accurate physiotherapy assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with diverse clinical presentations and complex physical and psychological needs in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team on the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at The Wellington Hospital.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To provide clinical supervision and facilitate the learning and development of Senior 2 staff members and therapy assistants on the rehabilitation unit.
• To be responsible for the daily routine on allocated wards in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members and ensure physiotherapy responsibilities are met.
• To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse or complex pathology/presentations using appropriate clinical reasoning skills, observation skills and manual assessment skills to provide an accurate physiotherapy diagnosis and understanding of their condition
• To participate in weekday and weekend emergency on call and problem solver rotas.
• To support the physiotherapy service working flexibly across the working week.

Skills & Experience

• HCPC Registration
• Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
• Post registration broad clinical experience in neurology, cardiorespiratory including tracheostomy management, musculoskeletal/orthopaedics and general medicine/elderly care with an interest in the field of neurology
