Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The appointee would be trained to deliver integrated sexual health care within Bristol's Unity Sexual Health Services and will be based at Central Health Clinic, Tower Hill Bristol BS2 OJD. There will also be the opportunity to gain experience of HIV medicine as part of the weekly job plan.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria

• Awareness of Confidentiality and Consent issues
• Awareness of Lord Fraser Guidelines
• Knowledge of child protection procedures
• Experience of audit projects and audit cycles
• Experience teaching Medical students +/- nursing team

Desirable criteria

• Previous experience with Sexual & Reproductive Health work & /or Genito-urinary Medicine
• Previous participation in research projects

Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria

• Good relationships and communication with patients
• Good working relationships with colleagues
• Ability to perform a sensitive genital examination in women
• Ability to perform a sensitive genital examination in men
• Ability to work in a multi-professional team
• Able to demonstrate a non-judgemental attitude
• Capacity to recognise own limitations and seek advice appropriately
• Capacity to apply sound clinical knowledge & awareness to full investigation of problems

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria

• MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification
• Eligible for full GMC registration at time of appointment
• Evidence of achievement of FY1/2 competencies
• Eligibility to work in the UK
