Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria

• Eligible for full UK GMC registration and a Licence to Practice.
• On GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT in Respiratory medicine and General Internal Medicine

Desirable criteria

• PhD, MD

Clinical Experience
Essential criteria

• Comprehensive clinical experience in respiratory, G(I) M and pleural disease

Desirable criteria

• Experience working in lung cancer

Clinical Skills
Essential criteria

• Competent in thoracic ultrasound, and pleural procedures including IPC

Desirable criteria

• Experience of Thoracoscopy Level 1

Audit Management & IT
Essential criteria

• Understanding of principles of the audit.

Desirable criteria

• Evidence of training in management.

Research. Teaching skill & experience
Essential criteria

• Evidence of research output in peer reviewed journals

Desirable criteria

• Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff.
• Experience of recruitment into clinical trials
