Job Description

Main duties of the job
Group Informatics respond quickly and flexibly to the demands of the wider organisation, ensuring that we provide multiple services fit for purpose, whilst evolving our capability and tools to deliver an ambitious digital transformation change programme for the future.
The Senior Programme Manager role is a key part of the wider Programmes team, responsible for leading key schemes as part of the Informatics Portfolio of Work and overseeing the development, coordination and management projects and work streams.
You will play a key part of the successful delivery of the approved Group Informatics Capital Portfolio of Work, which offers the opportunity get involved in a range of IM&T clinical and operational projects, of varying scale and complexity. You will also have line management responsibility over Programme Manager(s) and/or Project Manager(s).
Informatics Programme function utilises best practice programme and project management to provide a coordinated and controlled environment in which to efficiently facilitate and deliver change to the organisation. You will be able to demonstrate extensive programme management experience and skill. Flexible, committed and approachable, you will possess solid communications and interpersonal skills and have a calm head under pressure. With a good eye for detail, you will be able to confidently deal with competing priorities, emerging issues and differing viewpoints.

  • Education to a minimum of Masters Degree Level or equivalent post graduate qualification or equivalent level of experience within Informatics
  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Foundation
Desirable criteria
  • Degree level or equivalent qualification specifically in IT / Informatics
  • Post graduate or equivalent diploma
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner
