Job Description

Main duties of the job
Applicants should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be expected to provide an effective link between the administrative staff, procurements department external suppliers and End users of equipment.
Applicants will need an aptitude for IT Systems, specifically an understanding of Microsoft packages and use of asset management software. They will need to extract and analyse meaningful data from databases using in house reports, SQL or equivalent.
As part of the equipment Lifecyle you will be expected to set up process to manage new equipment entering the trust, so you will need to demonstrate an understanding of the procurement and PAQ process as this will be used to make key decisions on the maintenance of equipment. You will also be expected to set up support levels and manage the trust asset register. You will be expected to produce reports of all new equipment and liaise with the procurement department to ensure maintenance cover is in place.
Manage end of life and end of support equipment, ensuring end users and procurement/users are aware so they can plan and put a replacement strategy in place.
Full support and training of our internal systems and Trust owned equipment is offered ensuring excellent career prospects. We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
