Compass Associates are currently assisting in the search for a MSK Physiotherapist to work in the Physiotherapist department of a well-established private hospital in Dorchester. Part of a leading private healthcare provider made up of both hospitals and clinics, they have previously won “Private Hospital Group of the Year” in LaingBuisson Awards.

The hospital has 32 beds and provides a wide range of acute elective and urgent surgical and medical services for adult patients who may attend the hospital as an outpatient, day case or an inpatient. Services offered include general surgery, orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, refractive eye surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, general medicine, dermatology, physiotherapy, endoscopy and diagnostic imaging. Most patients are self-pay or use private medical insurance.

They now have an opportunity for a MSK Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. A competitive basic salary is available and as a full time member of staff, you will be entitled to full time hours and an excellent benefits package. The post holder will manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.       

The Candidate                                          

The ideal candidate will need to be a fully qualified Physiotherapist with a current registration to the HCPC and CSP. They will need to be an experienced Physiotherapist with knowledge of current issues in professional practice with particular relevance to the Unit. Candidates from both NHS or Private Hospital background will all be considered.      

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. Part time hours are also available. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the small and friendly Physiotherapy team to work across elective orthopaedic inpatients and MSK/Orthopaedic outpatients.

Requirements

- Chartered Physiotherapist with vast postgraduate general Physiotherapy experience and relevant experience in a more specialist area.  

- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).  

- Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.  

- Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.  

- Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools  

- Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
