Bank Pharmacist| Competitive Hourly Rate | Flexible working | Elland

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist to join our Staffing Bank. This role will be working in the Pharmacy department on an ad hoc basis between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm Monday to Thursday, and also 8:30am to 5pm on Fridays.

Spire Elland Hospital has been providing high levels of medical treatment and personal care since 1985. Our hospital has a full multi-disciplinary medical team on-site who practice some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and excellence in specialist fields like orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, and cosmetic procedures.

Duties and responsibilities;

• To provide an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and clinical requirements.
• To provide advice and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost effective use of medicines.
• To advise the hospital and its departments on the safe management of medicines, ensuring compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
• To promote a multidisciplinary, patient focused approach to the delivery of an efficient, high quality healthcare service.

Who we're looking for

• You must be a qualified Pharmacist
• You must be GPhC registered with no restrictions.
• Previous Hospital experience (2 years) is essential.
• SAP system experience is desirable but not essential.
• You will be a team player with a friendly approach
• You will be personable, sensitive and empathetic
