Job Description
The posts are aimed at doctors who have completed Core Surgical Training, are in possession of the MRCS, and are seeking further experience before ST3 application. The successful candidate will work in a general surgery/colorectal team at specialty registrar trainee level, attend clinics and theatres and contribute to a 1 in 10 full shift on call rota for general surgery.
To provide a clinical service in General Surgery at senior level, working closely with the Specialty Registrars/Senior Clinical Fellows, Core Surgical Trainees/Junior Clinical Fellows and Foundation doctors under the supervision of the consultants. The post holders will be responsible to the General Surgery Specialty lead.
Applicants should possess MRCS or equivalent and must be fully registered (or eligible for full registration) with the GMC with Licence to Practise. Applicants should have worked for at least 1 year within General Surgery in the NHS. Please refer to the person specification form for details of eligibility.
