Overview
Compass Associates are excited to be working with a leading private surgical hospital in Wrexham, on the search for their next Lead MRI Radiographer to join the team. You will be working in a brand new MRI suite, complete with new scanners.
This private hospital is a recognised specialist in a range of disciplines. This includes orthopaedics, oncology, cardiology, general and ophthalmology. Their imaging services includes general radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI and CT.

The Role / Candidate
You will be the lead radiographer for MRI within the imaging department. You will work alongside the clinical services manager to ensure smooth running of the department.
You will be an experienced radiography professional with experience in MRI and in preferably also in leading a team. You will be provided all the tools and support in management and leadership, to positively progress in your clinical career.
One of your main responsibilities will be to both build and motivate a team within the department to the highest standard. You will contribute to staff rotas, scheduling, HR management and other management tasks, whilst also carrying out clinical duties.
The department has received a high amount of recent investment, with the imaging department boasting a brand new MRI suite, in which new scanners have been installed. This is to ensure that the hospital continues to provide a leading state-of-the-art imaging service.
Minimum Requirements
- DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
- HCPC Registration
- 2 years' post graduate experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRI
- Experience in RIS/PACS and IEP systems management
- Knowledge of IRMER legislation
- Experience using a broad range of imaging systems

There is a salary on offer of up to £50K pa, which is highly dependent upon skills and experience.

Shift Pattern
The shift pattern for this position is flexible. You will be required to have a presence in the department, however you will be able to reduce this to longer hours over a 3 day period if preferred once you have settled in.
