Outpatient Manager - Specialist Orthopedic Hospital   

£45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

Compass Associates are working with a valued client and specialist private hospital based in Highgate, North London.

This private hospital is recognised as a specialist in Orthopaedics, General surgery and Gynaecology.   

This hospital prides itself on working with some of the leading specialist Consultants and is recognised as one of the prominent providers in North London.

We are currently headhunting for an experienced Outpatient Manager to Lead and oversee the clinical team within the hospital. The Outpatient manger will report directly to the Director of Nursing / Hospital Director and play a pivotal part in the clinical management of the hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of exciting plans within this specialist private clinic.    

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee a team of nursing staff in the overall running of the outpatients / pre-assessment departments covering private patients and NHS minor Ops.

- Support and assist the Senior Management team in maintaining nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.  

- Support and assist in maintaining nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.  

- Support and assist in ensuring RGN clinical staff adhere to RCN board of nursing and nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations eg CQC  

Candidate Background:

- Current UK Registered Nurse with the NMC    

- Experience in Outpatients at a senior or lead capacity - ideally management of a clinical team    

- Private Healthcare experience would be desirable but not essential    

- Experience in Orthopaedics is desirable but not essential    

- Knowledge around CQC and governance in line with modern nursing guidelines

This positions is based Highgate, North London, and commutable from Greater London and Hertfordshire.
