This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS clearance and as a result, you will be required to pay the associated fee of £38.00. This fee will be deducted from your second month's salary.

Person specification

Qualifications
Essential criteria

• 1. Masters level degree in pharmacy. 2. Registered as a pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). 3. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent)*. 4. Epic Systems Assessment and Aptitude Test**

Desirable criteria

• 1. MSc in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent)*. 2. Management qualification. 3. Registered as an independent prescriber with the GPhC or a commitment to completing this qualification. 4. Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society. 5. Qualification in an IT discipline.

Experience
Essential criteria

• 1. Recent significant post-registration experience including prescription screening, medicines reconciliation and medicines information in an electronic health record. 2. Recent significant experience of patient consultation. 3. Experienced clinical pharmacist at band 7 or band 8a who has covered a range of specialities and with recent and/or relevant experience in an oncology specialism. 4. Experience of documenting pharmaceutical care issues in and electronic health record. 5. Experience of writing professional reports. 6. Experience of writing drug policies and treatment guidelines. 7. Experience of developing and reviewing patient group directions and shared care guidelines. 8. Evidence of having conducted and implemented the outcomes of a clinical audit. 9. Experience of the practical application of antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. 10. Experience of the management of high-cost and high-risk medicines. 11. Experience as a personal tutor to a range of staff groups. 12. Experience of developing and leading on projects including change management and service development.

Desirable criteria

• 1. Experienced clinical pharmacist (at band 8a or 8b) in cancer services with experience in chemotherapy protocol curation, chemotherapy production services/operations, cancer medicines management. 2. Recent significant post-registration hospital experience, ideally including previous experience in a teaching hospital and experience of more than one hospital. 3. Experienced clinical pharmacist (at band 8a or 8b) in cancer services with experience in chemotherapy protocol curation, chemotherapy production services/operations, cancer medicines management. 4. Evidence of having written pharmaceutical and/or educational publications. 5. Experience of drug expenditure analysis and reporting. 6. Experience of horizon scanning. 7. Digital systems implementation experience and involvment.

Knowledge
Essential criteria

• 1. Advanced clinical knowledge of drugs and therapeutic trends within designated specialist clinical area. 2. Knowledge of NICE, Health Education England (HEE), NPSA guidance and their local implementation 3. Knowledge of UK healthcare systems and NHS changes. 4. Computer literate with experience of Word, Powerpoint and Excel. 5. Familiar with the use of a range of visual aids for teaching. 6. Knowedge of pharmacy computer systems. 7. Knowledge of electronic prescribing IT systems.

Desirable criteria

• 1. In depth knowledge of electronic prescribing and medicines administration IT systems. 2. Knowledge of a high level general purporse programming language (e.g. python) 3. Knowledge of a structured query language as it relates to relational and non-relational databases (e.g. MySQL).

• The appointee will: 1.
