Remit

Compass Associates are working with a large, independent provider of mental health services to recruit a Head of Therapy to be based at one of their Staffordshire services.

You'd be based at a 36 bedded inpatient CAMHS hospital for children and young people who are admitted informally or under Section and have a range of complex mental health conditions including Anorexia Nervosa, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Psychosis, Depression, OCD and PTSD.

This is a newly created role which requires an experienced CAMHS Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) to help the senior management team to improve the service, develop the therapeutic provision, create policies/procedures and have clinical oversight of the MDT which includes Occupational Therapists, Activity Coordinators, Dietitians, Family Therapists and Therapy Assistants.

Commutable from: Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Telford, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Uttoxeter, Derby, Tamworth, Whitchurch, Cheadle, Shrewsbury, Stone, Burton upon Trent, Cheshire, Crewe, Shropshire, Birmingham, Bridgnorth, Ashbourne and nearby towns.

The Candidate

Essential criteria:

Doctorate degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology

HCPC registration

Strong CAMHS background

Experience managing a team

Interview Process

Informal conversation with the Head of Quality followed by a formal interview on site.
