Senior Occupational Therapist - Older Person Services Thurles, North Tipperary

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with the HSE are recruiting for a Senior Occupational Therapist, for a new opportunity based in the Community Hospital of Assumption, Thurles, North Tipperary.

This role will be offered as a short-term assignment (up to 6 months).

The service provides Occupational Therapy within the older person services, dealing with a range of chronic conditions including

Arthritis, COPD, Diabetes, Orthopaedic/Musculoskeletal, Cardiovascular/ Respiratory conditions, Sensory impairment, Immune system conditions, Cancers.

A suspected or diagnosed dementia (eg Alzheimers, Lewey body, Frontotemporal).

Neuro-disabilities (eg Brain Injury, MS, MND, Parkinsons Disease)

Job Responsibilities:

Working as part of the Occupational Therapy team to provide in patient care for the older person

Complete assessment and intervention with patients

• Seating and Pressure Care assessments
• Safety and Falls Prevention assessments and intervention

The Candidate:

A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration

3 years minimum post graduate experience essential

Experience working in a similar setting desirable

Permission to work in Ireland
