Senior Physiotherapist - Kildare

Senior Physiotherapist Paediatric Post Athy, Co. Kildare

Senior Physiotherapist required by Cpl Healthcare, for a new opportunity based in Athy, Co. Kildare to work as part of the South Kildare West Wicklow Childrens Disability Network Team (CDNT), providing services to children with complex needs (0-18 years).

Job Responsibilities:

Plan, prioritise and organise a clinical caseload

Plan assessments and deliver appropriate physiotherapy interventions

Collaborate as part of a MDT, with the child and their family to identify goals for the child plan interventions

Ensure all records related to service provision are documented in accordance with professional standards, completed in a timely manner

Participate in case reviews or case conferences and take on a lead clinical role

Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation

The Candidate:

Hold a Physiotherapy qualification and current CORU registration

Have three (3) years full time post qualification clinical experience with a significant amount working with children with a disability

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and openness to change

Demonstrate ability to utilise supervision effectively

Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development

Demonstrate a willingness to develop IT skills relevant to the role

A full clean driving licence and the use of ones own car is essential

Desirable:

A minimum of 2 years Physiotherapy paediatric experience

Experience in postural management including assessment of individuals with complex physical needs, implementing 24-hour postural care principles and identifying how to best support an individuals postural care needs is desirable

This is an excellent opportunity and will involve a contract of 6 months (covering maternity leave).
