Mon - Fri - (8am till 5pm) - 37.5
Salary up to £25,000 with a Car Allowance of £4250
London Waiting up to £5722
Mileage and fuel expenses covered additionally

Your role as an Assistant Practitioner
Deliver direct patient care in a safe and caring environment, assist in the induction, supervision and training of Healthcare Support Workers and trainee Assistant Practitioners and contribute towards project/ departmental and / or organisational growth and development.
- Implement programmes of care and contribute to care plan modifications, undertaking risk assessments as directed and within the limits of own knowledge and competence
- Undertake specifically identified administrative and clerical tasks associated with patient care which facilitate the smooth running of the virtual ward/department
- To communicate in a timely and effectively manner with other team members and to communicate effectively with the ward staff, therapists, consultants and Nurse / clinician in charge
- Complete documentation accurately and contribute to reports of patients' activity and progress, recognising that the qualified practitioner has personal accountability for entries to patient records made by others under their supervision
- Assist with the induction, care certificate, formal assessment and on-going development of Band 2 & 3 HCSWs, acting as a role model
- Maintain and improve the patient's mobility using appropriate equipment and handling techniques
- Obtain requested routine bloods/investigations; have a basic understanding of normal and altered values, reporting adverse results
- Assist with and undertake patient assessment (under supervision and after appropriate delegation from the registered practitioner)
- Obtain requested specimens and ensure transportation to appropriate department - urine, faeces, sputum, exudates e.g., swabs - nose, eye, wound site, etc
