Job Description

We are delighted to offer the role of the Qualified Nursing Associate Registered.

There are 6 theatre suites across WTWA with a total of 22 operating theatres across all areas, providing a range of specialist surgery. These include, Acute Block, TDC, F Block, Trafford, Withington Theatres.

There is a variety of specialties offered across all theatre areas, for e.g. Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics, Emergencies, colorectal upper GI Surgery. Plastic surgery: hand, breast and tendon reconstruction; ENT, major head and neck; Maxillofacial, Urology, Breast, Gynaecology.

We are committed to supporting ongoing professional development and provide a robust induction programme for all new starters within theatres at WTWA. We strive to provide excellent standards of evidence based care.

The theatres at WTWA deliver an excellent supernumerary orientation and induction programme for all our new starters, individually tailored to your current level of knowledge and experience. We provide in-house support for all staff and theatre specific practice based educators (PBE) and a learning and development lead to support you in your development.

Post-holders will also have access to the LEAD Training Programme, a unique and innovative concept to develop skillsets, which brings together all of the education and training activities of the hospital under one umbrella. We have an in-house mentorship programme in place affiliated to a well-known university and CPD courses to aid in your development in your role as a practitioner within the organisation.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
