Job Description

We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We're driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Community Services for a Team Administrator to work for the One Team. The role will work across four health centres, Cheetham Health Centre, Harpurhey Health Centre, Victoria Mill Health Centre and Cornerstones Health Centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced administrator who is an excellent communicator, organised and able to work well under pressure. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to teams of healthcare professionals. The role will involve the coordination and implementation of office procedures and will require a high degree of organisational skills and excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. The post holder will often be the first point of contact and a focal point for the services requiring clear communication and liaison skills. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their own workload and will be required to use their own initiative.

You should be competent in word processing RSA 3/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, organised and possess a recognised educational standard in English and Maths and/or equivalent demonstrable skills i.e. good command and understanding of English language/literature and numerical skills. Experience of general office procedures is also desirable. Excellent keyboard and data inputting skills are needed as is the understanding of the importance in maintaining confidentiality.

The post holder will be required to work as part of the One Team working across the four health centres and provide cross cover during periods of staff absence

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
