Job Description

If yes right now at Wythenshawe Hospital (Ward F12), we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Qualified and Trainee Nursing Assistants to support the Multidisciplinary team to provide high standards of personal care for our patients.

To succeed, you'll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect and have excellent interpersonal skills.

You will need to have (or be committed to working towards):
  • An NVQ or apprenticeship Level 2 in Care (or equivalent) -
  • Excellent communication skills - in particular listening skills
  • A friendly, open, empathetic and compassionate communication style
  • A strong ability to engage with patients, visitors and colleagues
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Patient Observations
  • Assisting the Nursing Staff with maintaining our patient's activities of daily living
  • Willingness to learn new skills based on the needs of our patient group.

Applicants on the 12-month apprenticeship will be paid at £17,004 per annum and will progress to Band 2 £18,005 - £19,337 per annum upon successful completion. If you are already qualified, you will commence at the bottom of Band 2.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
