Job Description

Clinical Educator (Theatres) | Spire Shawfair Park | Highly Competitive Salary | Full Time, No Nights

Spire Shawfair Park has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Educator, to join our experienced and dynamic team. We are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic registered practitioner who is ready to embrace the challenges of the theatre department development and increased workforce.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, collaborate and deliver programmes of training to the multi-disciplinary team within Theatres as well as working on the defined aspect of the wider specific job role in Anaesthetics/Scrub/Recovery.
  • The post holder will work closely with the Theatre Manager, Clinical Governance Team, Resus Team and the Senior Lead Practitioners.
  • Embed clear clinical governance structures into the unit for the training and education of staff, ensuring that the Theatre workforce fulfils their requirements to local and national patient safety programmes of work.
  • Ensure that safe and effective, person centred care is achieved through the delivery of a programme of tailored education and training specific to the clinical environment.

Who we're looking for
  • Substantial experience within a Theatre Department in either Scrub Anaesthetic or Recovery Role / Education environment
  • Willingness to develop staff and lead on workforce initiatives / Quality Improvement work
  • Enthusiasm for developing and embedding patient safety initiatives through education within the unit
  • Genuine interest in Education and Training and a willingness to develop the role further
