Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteria
  • •GCSE Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent.

Desirable criteria
  • •GCSE in Science (A-C) or equivalent higher education.


ExperienceEssential criteria
  • •Understanding of what the Histopathology laboratory does •Understanding of role and activities associated with the post

Desirable criteria
  • •Practical experience of working in a Biomedical Science laboratory •Knowledge of Pathology IT systems •Knowledge of Quality Management Systems •Previous relevant experience of working in the NHS


SkillsEssential criteria
  • •Willingness to undertake training to extend their skill set to deliver role •Good communication skills, •Demonstrable interpersonal skills - can work as part of a team. •Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time • Manual dexterity appropriate to activities associated with post

Desirable criteria
  • •Written communication skills •Actively participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
