Working as an essential member of the senior team in one of the largest Pathology services in the UK, you will have the opportunity to support one of the most forward-looking Laboratory Medicine Division's in the country.

If that's a yes, then an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pathology Product Specialist to join the Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) IT team. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with existing IT and project management skills along with excellent organisational and prioritisations abilities.

The DLM Informatics Team currently provides IT support to our busy pathology laboratories across three sites and the successful candidate will act as third line support for the core IT systems used within the DLM at MFT. This includes our various LIMS and their associated interfaces; PAS, GP Links, Order Communications, Instrument Interfaces, CITM and track workflow, EPU, Lab 2 Lab, Pathology Business Intelligence, Point of Care, Instrument Data Manager, and other downstream clinical and business intelligence systems operated by DLM. They will also play a key role in MFT's future IT vision, a single LIMS implementation as part of the Trusts replacement EPR project.

While previous experience of Pathology labs and their systems would be useful, it is not essential. You will however be confident using IT systems and have a proactive approach to learning what our labs do, and how our systems support them.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment.
