Job Description

We are looking for Band6 Occupational Therapist tojoin our Crisis Team which is a dynamic, thriving and successful team within Central Manchester.

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, it is an exciting time to be part of our continuing and progressive working environment that deals with 'crisis' situations daily. where your clinical skillset will contribute to patients remaining safely in their own homes and preventing unnecessary A&E attendances and admission.

Our Crisis Response Service has a multidisciplinary team which compromises of Advanced Practitioners, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, support workers, pharmacists and social care staff. The Crisis Response team provides a 7-day, urgent and timely response with extended service hours. Referrals are received from the ambulance service, acute and primary care, other health or social care professionals. Rapid assessment and community intervention for up to 72 hours will support adults 'in crisis' with health and/or social care needs at home.

As well as bringing your clinical skills to the team, you will be a champion of Occupational Therapy and integrated community care. You will need to be a strong team player, an excellent communicator, adaptable, committed, well organized and work well under pressure. This position requires you to be a car driver and be able to travel around the community of Central Manchester to see patients in their residences. Youmust be motivated, enthusiastic and have proven two years post graduate experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £26.85(standard disclosure) or £43.85 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
