Job Description

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To participate in the provision of Psychological Services to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties within Rehabilitation Services in KMPT.

In particular:

  • To undertake high quality direct and indirect specialist psychology interventions in these services
  • To use specific psychological and family therapy interventions experience and expertise to strengthen the multi-disciplinary team's therapeutic capacity
  • To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking reflective practice/case consultation/learning reviews for complex clients.
  • To be responsible for providing supervision, professional support and guidance to psychological therapists in the service and provide placements for trainees

You will have a doctorate-level or equivalent BPS approved qualification in clinical/counselling psychology, and will hold HCPC registration.

You will have previous specialist experience in adult secondary mental health services and in managing/supervising and developing psychological practitioners.

To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases in a timely manner.
