Job Description

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesWithin the Trust there is an expanding Myeloma Service and Cambridge University Hospitals are commissioned to function as the regional BMT Centre, taking referrals for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation for myeloma from several district general hospitals around the region.
Following the selection of Cambridge University Hospitals for commissioning as an NHS CAR T-Cell Centre and the proposed enlargement of the Cambridge Cellular Therapy Laboratory into new purpose-built facilities to support the delivery of several new cellular therapy trials and commissioned therapies the service is also primed to offer cellular therapy and other clinical trials to myeloma patients.
The Department of Haematology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers the full range of clinical (levels 1-4) and laboratory Haematology. It acts as a Tertiary Referral Centre for complex cases and serves as routine service for local patients.
Strong links exist between the Clinical Service, the academic department and the Haemato-Oncology Diagnostic Service. The roles will also require collaboration with regional hospital colleagues.
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust includes Addenbrooke's and the Rosie Hospitals. We are one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the country with an outstanding reputation that is down to the exceptional people that work here.
Our philosophy is to keep the patient at the heart of everything we do. Every person that works for the Trust, regardless of their role, comes into contact with our patients and visitors and is expected to uphold our values of Together - Safe, Kind, Excellent at all times.
Please refer to the Job description and Person specification attached for further details on the main responsibilities and duties for this post.

Applicant requirementsYou must have appropriate UK professional registration.
Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom (UK) are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. Please note that from January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here. It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form. Overseas applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Guidance can be found here. Not everyone needs a 'Skilled Worker' visa. If you are applying for a vacancy in health or adult social care, check if you're eligible to apply for the Health and Care Worker visa instead. It's cheaper to apply for and you do not need to pay the annual immigration health surcharge
