Job Description

Are you a Registered Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council and hold a relevant Dental Nurse Qualification? We have opportunities for you to join us in this exciting time, based in central Manchester.

The University Dental Hospital of Manchester is key part of one of the North West's largest NHS Trusts. It is one of 14 specialist dental hospitals within the UK and serves around 90,000 patients attending for treatment each year. It is a prestigious teaching hospital undertaking the training of postgraduate and undergraduate Dental Students, Student Dental Nurses and Hygienists and is situated on the Manchester University Campus.

You will provide close support for the Dentist by maintaining high standards of infection control. Confident, competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic are all attributes required for these positions as well as the ability to work as part of the dental team. You need to be interested in ensuring quality Dental services and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals and demonstrate very high standards.

In return, we will provide you with a full induction and support you with a personal development plan and ongoing training when required. You will also benefit from being an employee for a large Trust and so be made aware of up and coming projects and opportunities that there may be.

This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £29.50(standard disclosure) or £47.50 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
