Job Description

Health Innovation Manchester's Utilisation Management team is recruiting to meet the demand of its exciting and growing business. The Utilisation Management team is a clinically led NHS team of healthcare analysts and experienced clinicians, providing high quality, actionable intelligence by blending sophisticated data analysis with clinical expertise.

Operating in conjunction with the wider work of the devolution agenda, Health Innovation Manchester is an academic health science

system leading a programme of innovation across the entire health and social care community to ensure population health needs are met in the

most efficient and cost-effective way. Established to drive innovation into the system, the role of Health Innovation Manchester is to act as a

systems enabler, partnering with academia, industry and healthcare providers, helping to connect emerging research with industry innovators,

accelerating the development and adoption of innovations and aligning them with the region's most pressing health and social care challenges.

The Utilisation management team are commissioned to work across geographical and organisational boundaries to provide detailed information and insight around service activity and patient pathways from both a strategic and clinical perspective.

Working within the Utilisation Management team, you will be able to see first-hand how the data and analysis you provide is used to inform strategic planning and improve patient pathways.

You will be responsible for:
  • Transforming, analysing, and reporting on urgent and emergency care activity
  • Collaborating with our experienced clinicians to plan and implement clinical pathway reviews
  • Providing in-depth data analysis on bespoke clinical review data sets
  • Developing reports, presentations and interactive dashboards using visualisation software
  • Ad-hoc analysis to support whole health and social care systems to improve patient flow and patient outcomes
