Job Description

Person specificationQualificationsEssential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or NVQ level 4 or equivalent experience Customer Service / Business Admin / ITQ / Human Resources or equivalent professional experience

Desirable criteria
  • Secretary / PA qualification or equivalent Team leader/management qualification Typing qualification or equivalent experience Specific technical/professional qualification


ExperienceEssential criteria
  • Secretarial and/or complex administrative experience Prioritising, planning and organising own and others tasks Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations Data entry experience and documentation

Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in NHS Previous PA working experience Previous experience of workforce activities Recruitment and selection of staff Performance management of staff


KnowledgeEssential criteria
  • Confidentiality and data protection processes and procedures HR / workforce processes and procedures Customer service Good working knowledge of office procedures and all Microsoft office packages Awareness of NHS and Trust priorities Awareness of equality and diversity

Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of the Trust including awareness of priorities Knowledge of Trust information systems
