Job Description

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to possess an appropriate qualification to provide high intensity psychological therapies at step 3, to individuals with anxiety and depression in accordance with NICE guidelines.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesAccept and appropriately manage referrals via agreed protocols within the serviceMake decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the Service referral protocols, and where indicated refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to the referral agent.Formulate, implement and evaluate psychological therapy programmes for clients.Adhere to Service performance standards and expectations re caseload, throughput, and demonstrated effectiveness.Provide specialist advice and consultation to other professionals / individuals / groups / committees across Mental Health Trusts, Primary Care Trust and other voluntary agencies regarding service matters related to the practice and delivery of specific agreed therapeutic modalities and service provision.Supervise Psychological wellbeing Practitioner(s) or other staff within the service in line with your training and developed competences

Qualifications
Essential criteria
  • Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma
  • Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services Relevant experience in Primary Care settings treating anxiety and depression-related problems


Desirable criteria
  • Training in an additional therapeutic modality.
  • Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes

  • Ability to meet agreed/specified activity and service targets


Desirable criteria
