Wythenshawe Emergency Department has recently undergone a 15 million pound regeneration scheme, providing a state of the art clinical workspace which will allow our team to thrive in providing exceptional patient care every day.

Manchester's Regional Burns Unit and the North West Heart and Lung Centre are both located on site meaning that the department receives a wide range of complex patients via road and air ambulance; whilst a dedicated GP service located in Minors ensures that low acuity patients are seen and treated appropriately. In addition to this the department serves as the regional ECMO CPR centre.

We are currently looking for an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our fantastic team, assisting us in continuing to provide exceptional patient care whilst leading on cutting edge research and education in the Emergency Medicine field.

We are keen to recruit enthusiastic, dynamic individuals who are either approaching CCT or are an established consultant, and want to work in a dynamic teaching hospital with a clear strategic vision for emergency medical patients and those with complex care needs. We're looking for somebody with a specialty interest who's seeking a post that will allow them to develop their skills and flourish within our exciting new single hospital Trust.

We would also consider a Locum post for the right candidate.

Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing the successful applicant/s DBS application be recovered via salary deduction following start in post. The amount of £29.50(standard disclosure) or £47.50 (enhanced disclosure) which will be deducted from salary, in the first 3 months of employment. If you wish to withdraw once a DBS application has commenced you will be still liable for payment.
