Medical Scientist (Microbiology), required by TTM Healthcare, on behalf of an independent, acute care hospital based in North Dublin.

The JCI and INAB accredited Pathology Department is a consultant led service and includes 45 scientific, assistant, clerical and phlebotomy staff,

supporting 18 clinical units within the hospital including cardiology, endoscopy, surgery, medicine and oncology, performing a wide range of clinical laboratory investigations utilising state of the art diagnostic analysers and techniques.

You will be assigned to the Microbiology and may be required to participate in the on-call rota as needed.

Key Requirements:

•BSc in Biomedical Science/Medical Laboratory Science - only ACSLM/CORU approved degrees can be considered
•ACSLM membership or eligibility for membership is essential/CORU registration if applicable
•Excellent knowledge of and competence in Microbiology
•2 years post graduate experience in a pathology laboratory is desirable
•Experience in molecular testing is desirable
•Experience of working in an INAB-accredited (or equivalent) medical laboratory
•Experience of working with iLab Laboratory Information System is desirable
