Management Accountant | Finance | Solihull, Birmingham | Full time, Permanent

Spire Parkway has an exciting opportunity in our Finance department. We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join us on a full time and permanent basis.

Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull, West Midlands offers a comprehensive range of private hospital services. Our hospital is rated Good by the CQC for all parts of the inspection except for Patient Care, which is rated Outstanding. The report states, "Staff treated patients with compassion and kindness, respected their privacy and dignity, took account of their individual needs, and helped them understand their conditions. They provided emotional support to patients, families and carers."

Duties and responsibilities:
  • To assist in the financial running of the hospital to ensure that it achieves all financial goals in accordance with the financial policies and procedures of the organisation
  • To assist in the informing and supporting of the financial, operational and decision making of staff and teams in the hospital
  • Responsible for line management of Business Administration Team and ensuring the team meets all the operational targets

Who we're looking for:
  • Working towards/completed an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is essential
  • Accounting experience is preferable
  • Ideally you will have experience in people management
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • Able to understand key business processes and complex business issues
  • Displays high standards of personal integrity and initiative
  • Able to display a high attention to detail
  • Identifies opportunities for personal development
  • PC literate, able to adopt and contribute, where required, to the introduction and development of new systems. Intermediate Excel skills are essential and experience of SAP is desirable
  • Experience in healthcare or other customer orientated business is desirable but not essential
