Compass Associates are extremely excited to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading and fastest growing provider of ophthalmology services - on the search for their next nurse / ODP trainer to join their clinical educator team.

This ophthalmic provider prides themselves on clinical excellence and prioritising the welfare of both patients and staff. This includes providing regular theatre training for both new and existing staff members across their hospital sites - this is where you come in.

The Position / Candidate

You will be a passionate and dedicated Scrub Nurse or ODP with post registration experience within ophthalmic theatres.

You will have an interest in training / developing other staff members and feel comfortable demonstrating and teaching skills. You will also be happy to travel between different sites and work from home where required.

Experience in training / educating other staff members is beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided. 

Shift Patterns

The job is Monday - Friday. It will include travelling to different sites where required - across the North, Midlands and London areas. This will also include a degree of home working too.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is up to £42,000, depending on experience

25 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays

  Essential Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification        

Current NMC/ HCPC registration        

Ophthalmic scrub experience in theatres

Valid UK driving licence and vehicle
