This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Children’s Occupational Therapist at Liverpool City Council. The Children’s Occupational Therapy Service is part of SEND Specialist Services and support children and young people with SEN and Disability. It is jointly commissioned by the local authority and Liverpool CCG. The post involves assessing children’s need in relation to social care provision and providing equipment and adaptations to promote independence and safety at home. Our client offers flexi hours with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.

Main Duties include;

• Assessment and therapy for children with sensory-motor difficulties

• Sensory processing awareness and strategy sessions for parents and professionals

• Delivering statutory provision of essential specialist equipment and home adaptations, as well as the assessment and therapy intervention of children in nurseries and schools as part of their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

• Working in locality team with Social Workers and Occupational Therapists

To Be Successful:

Our client has requested that the successful candidate has experience of children’s services within social care, along with a sound working knowledge of children’s equipment, including manual handling, Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you). The candidate must be HCPC Registered with a full OT Qualification.
