Senior Occupational Therapist

An exclusive and rare opportunity has arisen for speech and language therapist in the Nottingham Area.

My client is part of one of the UK's leading independent healthcare operators, and shares its ethos of delivering the highest quality professional and personal care. They consist of hospitals and centres throughout the UK, highly regarded for quality of care and innovation in their respective fields. The centres provide acute and longer term treatment in the areas of mental health and addictions, brain injury rehabilitation and neurodisability and learning disabilities.

A highly motivated individual is required to carry out occupational therapy assessments and device needs led programmes for service users with acquired brain injuries, maintaining high standards of clinical care and working within a multidisciplinary team framework. You will be required to participate in the clinical supervision of junior staff.

Main Duties:
• Co-Ordinate and ensure smooth running of occupational therapy department, programmes and activities
• Provide specialist assessment and treatment of people with brain injuries
• Function as a key therapist to ensure active co-ordination and management of the therapeutic programme to achieve the agreed rehabilitation goals
• Ensure that all relevant codes of practice and regulations (MHA1983 & Care Standards Act 2000) are upheld
The successful candidate will have the following:
• Relevant degree/ Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• State Registration
• 4 years experience in occupational therapy and 2 years experience in Neurology/ Brain Injury
In return you will receive:
• A basic salary of £30,000- £33,000per annum depending on experience
