Senior Occupational Therapist East London
Band 6/7 - Salary Up to £40,000
To provide specialist clinical skills, advice and support to all aspects of their services in order to maximise clients' mobility, independence and participation and achieve targeted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The post is part of a specialist clinical service, delivering services at locations and times best suited for the client and to enable efficient service provision. It entails carrying out holistic assessments of clients of all ages, as well as prescription, handover and review of mobility equipment with related seating and accessories.
The post holder will work as an autonomous, senior practitioner and as an active member of a multi professional team. He / she will liaise with other professionals and agencies as required and be responsible for the supervision, management, induction and training of more junior staff, supporting the Clinical Team Lead in the provision of a high quality and efficient service.
Our client provides a unique service that ensures that all clients will receive the mobility equipment they require at the right time, to enable them to achieve their and their family's / carer's lifestyle goals. This will be achieved by the following:
-90% of routine equipment should be handed over on day of assessment.
-Innovative, timely and efficient service provision.
-Linked up service provision, ensuring close collaboration between our client's services and other agencies / referrers as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Full HCPC registration with a degree in Occupational Therapy
-Have experience in wheelchair services.
- Some experience in paediatrics would be desirable
