    Job Description

    We have an exciting, unique opportunity for a Medicines Management Technician to join our growing team within our Burton based head office.

    As a Medicines Management Technician you will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of high quality service for patients requiring compounded products and associated co-meds. You will be acting as the point of contact for hospitals and referring centres, addressing patient queries/ complaints and internal queries and working with other internal departments to provide an efficient and effective service.

    What does a Medicines Management Technician do at healthcare at home?

    You will be processing prescription orders efficiently and effectively, deciphering if they're compounding or not, and completing a final check of order against patients' prescriptions, ensuring there are no Pharmacist queries outstanding

    Creating purchase order numbers and receipt to patient specific purchase orders is a key part of the role, as is the allocation of patient's specific order items to sales orders.

    On a daily basis you will be required to update patient files with any dose changes and deal with documents under investigation (DUI's)

    You will be ordering patient medication in accordance with agreed procedures whilst effectively handling queries and complaints

    Completing reports and documentation in line with service agreements - stock level, quarantine and re-use stock, compliance in of high importance within the role

    Salary: £25,221.36

    Hours: 40 per week

    What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

    As well as having previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a clinical environment, you will be a Qualified Pharmacy Technician with NVQ 3 or BTech in Pharmaceutical Science and registered with the GPhC.

    You will be able to cope well under pressure and have a strong ability to prioritise and work within a fast paced environment, whilst being patient focused and passionate about delivering excellence.
