What does a Pharmacist do at Healthcare at Home?
You will carry out clinical screening of all prescriptions to ensure appropriateness of therapeutic indication, dose, frequency, form and route of administration.
Provide patient counselling and advice provision by telephone and email, such as travel and clinical queries, device faults, injection technique, side effects and adverse events.
Oversee and perform final accuracy checking of the dispensing and supply of medicinal products
To undertake the role of Responsible Pharmacist (RP) within dispensing on a rotational basis, ensuring full compliance with the responsibilities of the RP role including that the appropriate records are made.
Offer professional insight to help enhance the continuous development of the service.
Salary: £40,000
Hours: 40 hours per week working mainly Mon to Fri with rotating shifts of 8am to 4.30pm AND 9.30am to 6pm. The role includes weekend work and bank holidays on rotation.
What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist who will display well developed communication skills including active listening, questioning and demonstrating interpersonal sensitivity. You will be self-motivated and energetic with a positive approach to work.
Displaying well developed planning and organisational skills, you will be confident in multi-tasking and managing your time whilst prioritizing workloads. You will demonstrate high levels of attention to detail, and will be confident in finding solutions to problems and adapting to change.
You will hold an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and a diploma in a specialist area, and will be registered with the GPhC with completion of CPD. At least 2 years' experience working at a Pharmacist in a community or hospital environment is key, and you will have a track record of delivering against agreed targets.
