Our client based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands is looking for an experienced and dedicated occupational therapist to work around 30 hours per week in a brand new purpose built ABI unit opening in May 2017.
The centre will be home to 18 residents who have differing neurological disorders/injuries. It will provide the highest level of care to individuals with brain injuries and spinal injuries and provide both ventilation and tracheostomy care to the residents. The centre will be divided into 15 long stay beds with 3 of the beds dedicated to short stay rehabilitation beds. The main focus of the centre will be to offer recovery and rehabilitation beds to the residents.
Your role as the occupational therapist will be to assisting the specialist equipment needed to aid resident's mobility. You will also be responsible for educating recovering residents to learn how to live independently as possible. In addition, our client is looking for the occupational therapist to work closely with the physiotherapist to ensure residents' goals are met. You must hold a degree in occupational therapy approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Our client will be very supportive clinically and offers a great rate of pay for the Wolverhampton area.
