We are currently transforming the Charity and are introducing Integrated Practice Units (IPU's) as the vehicle to deliver 'Value Based Healthcare'. This will ensure our patients consistently get the best possible outcomes and local teams gain more control and responsibility.
These exciting opportunities are to work within an Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) delivering Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for women with Borderline Personality Disorder. The DBT IPU provides treatment for women in a low secure setting moving them through locked rehab.

Healthcare Assistant – You be part of the multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Psychologists, Social Workers and Responsible Clinicians that work on the ward who are able to provide expertise in all aspects of the service users' requirements. You will also be trained within all aspects of the role and have a mentor to support you. You do not have to have been a Health Care Assistant before as long as you are caring, committed, and compassionate about people and would like to improve people’s quality of life.The job can be highly rewarding though is challenging at times, but with the training we give you and the experience you will learn will give you the skills to support people in a least restrictive way and help the people to thrive and move forward.
DBT Assistant –We have a number of exciting opportunities for DBT Assistants to join the team. You will assist in maintaining high standards of patient care and facilitate the full range of rehabilitation activities. You will undertake relevant DBT training as identified within the clinical area and will work towards co-facilitating homework groups, leading mindfulness daily practice, skills coaching and supporting the DBT Skills facilitators in delivering groups. We are looking for well-motivated individuals with a keen interest in developing their DBT skills and knowledge.
Qualified Nurses RMN / RGN – We are looking for talented Mental Health and General Nurses to join our DBT IPU team on a full-time permanent basis, your role will be to individualise the care we provide, we will achieve this by delivering DBT alongside a holistic programme that equips our patients for independent living in the community, achieving a life worth living.
Being a Senior Staff Nurse you will be the lead on a shift so knowledge and understanding is a must, if this is your first role, we will support you. Our leading preceptorship programme is there to help you build on your understanding in the first 6 months of being a New Staff Nurse here at St Andrew’s Healthcare.
