Speech & Language Therapist - Adult Learning Disabilities/Mental Health
Compass Associates are proud to be working a valued client to recruit for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist for a prominent provider of adult learning disabilities and mental health based across the North West. The successful candidate will need to offer exposure to ideally both mental health and learning disabilities and have the ability to work autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment and recommendations.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced speech and language therapist seeking a new challenge and looking to join a respected organisation. For this post your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: specialist management of a range of complex speech, language and communication difficulties, ensuring accurate documentation of assessment, treatment and outcome measures across the whole department are maintained, initiating and taking a lead role in the development of our policies, guidelines and service developments, ensuring the provision of a high-quality SLT service and it's placed within the multi-disciplinary team and supporting the induction and training of all new SLT staff, SLT students and participating in the induction and training of key stake holders
Hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy MSc level qualification or equivalent
Be a registered member of the HCPC
Be a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists with a current licence to practice
Have demonstrable experience of clinical supervision of students and others
Be an excellent communicator - both written and verbally
This role is based across the companies various services in the Chester area. These services are commutable from Warrington, The Wirral, Chester, Cheshire and Liverpool
The interview process will be a one stage process and consist of a formal interview with the hospital manager and medical director.
My client is seeking an experienced SALT with preferably exposure to both mental health and learning disability settings where the successful candidate is able to work autonomously and as part of an MDT. In exchange my client are offering a salary of up to £40,000, dependent on experience.
