Endoscopy Team Lead

Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital offers comprehensive private hospital services in a comfortable and relaxed environment to patients from Cambridgeshire and East Anglia. The Hospital is going through a £10 million refit which will modernise our 5 Theatres and 44 bedded ward. Also included in the upgrade will be the Imaging and short stay departments, increasing the number of pods to 19. The Endoscopy suite will also be JAG compliant level and there will also be an extended 2 bed recovery unit.
In this fantastic role, you will assess the needs of patients who require an endoscopy, explaining the procedure and any associated risks, gaining consent and drawing up an action plan for their healthcare needs while under your care. As team leader, you will guide your team through your clinical and managerial excellence, delegating manageable workloads and supporting the development of their skills. You will also continually seek ways in which we can improve our services, applying the relevant strategies and policies and suggesting ways in which we can develop the scope of our work.
Your main responsibilities will include: Managing the endoscopy service and lead the team in the provision of care for patients in a safe and caring environment. You will also be providing leadership and advice to other staff in the department and supporting the Short Stay Suite Manager in the overall management of the Endoscopy unit. We will be working towards JAG accreditation and can offer further development and good career prospects within the Endoscopy department.
Experience in an endoscopy department is essential, as is knowledge of endoscopy surgical procedures and competent across a range of endoscopy skills and work routines, supported by professional competence and knowledge.
