I am currently working on behalf of an established healthcare provider that is looking to appoint a number of support workers into their services around the Stourbridge area. As a company they provide care to service users with learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviours as well as associated mental health conditions. Clients within the services vary in ages from 18- 80.
The service itself is a purpose built development that will specialise in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Complex Needs & Challenging Behaviour.
The successful applicants will assist the line manager is the coordination and operational management of their supported service. Together with the service manager you will be responsible for delivering hands on care to the service users in the services. You will provide support that enables the people we support to achieve the outcomes of their individual Person Centred Plans. In doing so you will carry out all aspects of the role within the guidance of the Organisation's vision, mission, ethos and values, enabling the people we support to maximise their independence, choice and control.
Applicants looking to apply should:
* Be self-motivated and resilient
* Have a passion for care
* Proven experience in working with challenging behaviours and autism
* Have excellent communication skills, patience and creativity.
* You will also have exceptional relationship building skills and work well as part of a team.
* A clean driving license and access to a car would be beneficial as they encourage services users to undertake activities in the community. This is not essential though.
Salary - £16000 -£17,500 or £8.00 - £8.75 per hour
They have full-time and part-time positions available with flexible working shifts including weekend and evening work on a rotating basis.
You must be able to demonstrate a passion for the care sector and care delivery as that is paramount to the role. The company will then develop staff and skills in the role.
