Mental Health Act Administrator

My client is looking for a Mental Health Act Administrator for their brain injury unit based in Leicester. The services offer a pathway of services from specialist rehabilitation through to longer term support for residents and visiting service users. These are connected not just because they are all on the same site, but because their philosophy of care and the desire of the staff is to provide what is needed to their clients. their services have been developed through listening to and learning from the people that know what works - service users.
Ideally you will be working as a Mental Health Act Administrator already however if you have been working as a legal secretary or similar role my client is willing to train you up.
Organisation of CPA Meeting requiring the coordination of liaising groups of people including doctors, social workers, solicitors and relatives as well as requesting, compiling and distributing reports, and minute taking. Complex diary management Maintenance of accurate files and electronic records, including database maintenance.To provide administrative support to the multi-disciplinary team Main Duties and Responsibilities To establish a good working relationship with clinicians and professionals involved in patient care.To understand and demonstrate the appropriate need for discretion and confidentiality relating to all Apply process reports requiring an extremely high level of accuracy and good Applyng all administration in relation to all patients admitted to and discharged from the hospital is completed in a timely manner, including admission and discharge notifications. Co-ordinating solicitors for patients who don't have a solicitor to ensure they have legal representation for Manager's Panels and tribunals etc. Responsible for maintaining accurate records for all detained clients to a high standard.To organize regular care program approach meetings for patients with their Multi-Disciplinary Team including the Care Coordinator and other outside agencies. To provide demonstrable evidence that all reports are available and minutes distributed.To liaise with outside agencies, i.e., solicitors, Care Co-ordinators, Nearest relatives and the CPA Coordinators regarding dates of meetings.To provide demonstrable evidence that all relevant documentation is provided to all relevant agencies i.e. Mental Health Commission, Mental Health Review Tribunal, Solicitors, Social Workers and Apply take minutes at Care Programme Approach Meetings and to provide demonstrable evidence that they are completed and distributed in a timely fashion.To liaise with the Hospital Director and Nurse Assessor regarding prospective new Apply take minutes at the Quarterly Commissioners Reviews and Clinical Governance Meetings. To provide support and cover to other administrators where required and in times of sickness and annual leave. Ensure all detained clients are aware of their legal rights under section 132 of the MHA 1983 and that this is recorded appropriately by monthly review.To collate leave forms for all detained patients to allow lawful section 17 leave from the hospital.To enter all IR1's onto the database and complete weekly reporting sheet.To work with the administration staff to provide demonstrable evidence that training is booked in a timely manner and that staff are informed when their Achieve modules are due for renewal and to provide monthly reports to the Director To work with the Hospital Administrator to provide demonstrable evidence that all invoices are sent out in a timely manner and are submitted to finance for payment.To work as part of the administration team to provide a high level of support for the MDT
