Disability Assessor-Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist or Paramedic-Oxford

Are you an experienced practitioner looking for a change and a better work life balance? If so we have an exciting opportunity to train and qualify as a Disability Assessor as part of a successful integrated team.
Your primary role will be to conduct health and disability assessments in line with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) guidelines for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
PIP is designed to help towards some of the extra costs incurred when someone lives with long-term ill health or a disability. This means you’ll be helping people with their PIP case, by understanding the extent to which an individual’s health conditions may impact on their daily life.
You’ll benefit from full-time training and a full salary from the start, and ongoing CPD support is provided, as is revalidation and renewal of professional body registration. Please note that 2 weeks of this training is residential all expenses paid including salary.
If you are a fully registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience and consider yourself to be an excellent communicator then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Base Location: Oxford
Starting salary: £41,000 + benefits
Hours: Standard work pattern 9am-5pm Monday to Friday

The job involves undertaking face-to-face assessments and compiling detailed medical reports, working with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, including physical, sensory, mental health and cognitive issues.
It is a flexible role that requires Health Professionals to work both within a clinical environment and to carry out consultations at claimants’ homes. There will a requirement to work autonomously and skills in report writing are essential as is sound computer skills.
