CRG Doctors are recruiting professional Aviation & Space Medicine Specialists, on behalf of our client based in the West Sussex region.
Your role will involve checking that aviation license holders are fit and well enough to carry out their duties. For that, we need a full-time Senior Medical Assessor - a doctor with an interest in aviation and wide experience in aviation medicine.
In this varied and interesting role, you'll tackle all aspects of regulatory aviation medicine. You'll undertake the medical certification of air crew and air traffic controllers and conduct secondary case reviews in conjunction with leading medical specialists. There'll also be the chance to train other doctors: aeromedical examiners and junior Medical Assessors. This calls for expert industry knowledge - which will also help you contribute to new aeromedical policies.
We're looking for a qualified Doctor with post-graduate qualification in Aviation Medicine (Diploma level). In the past, you'll have worked as an AME or Medical Assessor.
All applicants must be have a fluent command of the English language complimented by excellent communication and writing skills, a good level of IT literacy.
You will be an existing consultant or equivalent in aviation medical practice, or an alternative specialty with demonstrated experience in the field of Aviation and Space Medicine, perhaps as an aeromedical examiner.
