Band 2 Healthcare Assistant (NHS)

We are currently seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants in the NHS sector to cover shifts that we currently have in Birmingham. To apply for this role you must hold 6 months experience within the last 2 years in the NHS and able to supply references covering the last 4 years (one being from a previous NHS role).
You need to be caring and kind natured, be able to follow instructions and procedures as well as having excellent communication skills. As a Healthcare Assistant you are expected to work well in a team, but are also able to use you own initiative and you’ll also need excellent organisational skills.
These shifts are based on wards, with various wards available ranging from, but not limited to; Critical Care, General, Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Orthopaedics and Paediatrics.
Regular duties may include:
• washing and dressing patients
• serving meals and helping to feed patients
• helping people to move around
• making beds
• talking to patients and making them comfortable
• monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight
